Christ Church Cathedral Waterford
- contributing to the quality of life in our City

Sure Foundation, the Conservation and Development Programme of Christ Church
Cathedral, Waterford, has gone from strength to strength since its foundation in 2001. The first phase of building restoration was completed in 2004 and plans are currently underway for phase 2 which will commence when sufficient funding is secured. The aim of Sure Foundation is to conserve this important part of Waterford’s historical life for future generations and to re-establish it at the centre of the cultural, artistic and religious life of the city. Since Autumn 2003, an extensive programme of concerts and recitals has been well received by audiences who have delighted at the wonderful acoustics of the building. Hundreds of children have taken part in outreach programmes directly linked to the music programme of the cathedral. Plans for 2005 include a Schools Singing Day tied in with the Tall Ships Race, which will be broadcast on Lyric FM.

Waterford City has experienced wonderful regeneration in the last ten
years and much more is planned. A varied and diverse cultural life is a
true sign of a developed and mature society and it is our hope that
Christ Church Cathedral will be at the very centre of the future
cultural life of the city, available as a venue for all to enjoy. By
supporting this Golf Classic you will help us achieve this aim.
