  • DISCOVERY GOSPEL CHOIR: Juneteenth

    Greetings,

Until  recently I never heard of Juneteenth –  not until Ciaran Judge from the Discovery Gospel Choir asked if they could come to the cathedral and give a concert to mark the 150th anniversary of the emancipation of African American slaves on 19th June 1865 in Galveston, Texas.

So, on Saturday June 6th, the multi-racial and multinational amazing Discovery Gospel Choir will perform a concert in the cathedral at 7pm as part of a June long nationwide tour.

Plans are afoot to make this a very special experience for all.

    The Dean
